Sockbird is a coffee subscription service based in Shanghai, China founded in 2018 by a couple of coffee lovers, Naza and Swan. Sockbird was founded as a response to the demand for a new coffee experience – based on a continuous discovery of coffee and the environment surrounding it. In order to ensure this experience, Sockbird collaborates with the best baristas, roasters and farmers all over the world and spreads out its wings to supply the passionate coffee lover community based in China. Sockbird aims to cultivate the sophisticated coffee lover society who love exploring and discovering new coffee. During this journey Sockbird wants their consumers to find their best selves.

In this exciting project, I delivered Sockbird fully responsive branding design assets including logo, brand colours, wordmark lock ups, illustration assets etc. and also packaging design work including a subscription box, fresh drip pouches, label systems, whole bean bag design and merchandise.
Naza one of the co-founders of Sockbird and a cafe owner in China is surrounded by passionate friends who brew coffee at home every day. These are people who love to experience new ways and discover new tastes . “Different roasters, tastes and a good story is what we are looking for” says Naza. “Sometimes, my friends bring coffee to my cafe to share with other people. That is when we came up with the idea – to start a coffee subscription society in which we can try different coffees from all around the world and most importantly share our passion with others.”
Swan, the other co-founder of Sockbird and an ambitious traveller – loves visiting different countries to discover local coffee scenes and the culture surrounding coffee in those countries. During her journeys she has met countless people and made great friends from different nationalities and cultures. “There is one thing we all have in common. We all love a perfect cup of coffee.” says Swan. Naza and Swan believe that connecting the globally best coffee with the people through a society based on sharing, happiness and inspiration will ensure them the best coffee experience.
The Fresh Drip Box is designed to fit in 10 bags of Sockbird Fresh Drip’s. Sockbird loves roasting a variety of coffee, so we have added a list behind the box of the potential coffee types. Coffee that goes in the box will be ticked manually.
The Fresh Drip Coffee Bag packaging structure is built to change coffee label at low cost without harming the brand awareness. The brewing instructions are custom illustrations designed to support the brands professional image.
